PaddleFest, Jazz Trax and TroutfesT Coming to Big Bear Lake, Pending Today’s MWD Approval

Big Bear Lake, CA — More special events are being planned for the summer months on Big Bear Lake, and permit consideration for upcoming activities will be granted during this afternoon’s meeting of the Board of Directors for the Big Bear Municipal Water District. Special event applications include those for the Big Bear PaddleFest, for July 10 and 11, Jazz Trax, for three days starting June 18, and the Big Bear TroutfesT in October’s first weekend; today’s 1pm meeting, to be held at the MWD offices at 40524 Lakeview Drive in Big Bear Lake, will also include consideration of the U.S. Adaptive Recreation Center’s request to headquarter their summer program from B’s Backyard BBQ on weekdays. The MWD Board will also hear a proposal from MWH and the consulting services they could provide the district with regard to historic master planning activities and lake management strategies as it relates to TMDL.
