MWD Board to Discuss Eagle Point Dock Length Extension and Bear-Proof Trash Cans in Afternoon Meeting

Private boat dock owners in the Eagle Point area may have the opportunity to extend dock lengths beyond the current 70 foot dock regulation, pending a decision by the Big Bear Municipal Water District this afternoon. The MWD Board, which meets at 1:15pm at their offices at 40524 Lakeview Drive, will discuss a dock placement test policy for Eagle Point, a plan that the MWD’s Operations Committee of Todd Murphy and Skip Suhay have been reviewing with private dock owners. The other Business item on this afternoon’s MWD agenda includes consideration of a cost-sharing agreement with the U.S. Forest Service, to replace existing trash cans along the North Shore and at the public launch ramps with new, bear-proof trash cans.
