Big Bear, CA, March 31, 2016 – Shortly before 8:00 a.m. yesterday, deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a commercial burglary in progress at the Moonridge Post Office. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with a male subject inside the business. The male was identified as Wade Hall.
Hall forced entry into the closed business office. While inside, Hall opened several packages and envelopes , and was found to be in possession of numerous items that were removed from the opened packages. Hall was arrested and booked into the Big Bear Jail on a felony charge of burglary.
A records check on Hall revealed that he is currently on felony probation. Deputies contacted Hall’s probation officer and Hall was placed on a hold for violation of the terms and conditions of his probation. Suspect Wade Hall remains in custody without the possibility of bail, pending an arraignment hearing scheduled for April 4. The U.S. Attorney General’s office has been contacted and is reviewing this matter for the possibility of filing additional federal charges. The property that was stolen by Hall was released to the Postmaster of the Moonridge Post Office for return to its rightful owners.
In addition to being arrested today, Hall was also issued a citation on March 27 on a charge of petty theft for stealing food at a local grocery store. Wade Hall is scheduled to appear in court on June 27 to answer for that misdemeanor charge.
