Big Bear, Ca, October 4th, 2011, 4:00pm – The Mom & Dad Project in Big Bear City are taking part in Jumpstarts Read for the Record this Thursday, October 6th. The local non-profit will join with more than 2 million people to call for an end to America’s early education achievement gap by reading the children’s book Llama Llama Red Pajama by Anna Dewdney. The Mom & Dad Project invites parents and kids age 0 to 5 years old to come in their pajamas and visit a real life llama on Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Each child will be able to do a craft, and receive a free children’s book. The organization asks that you call to sign up, to ensure that they have enough books for the kids. The Mom & Dad Project is a non profit organization that provides classes and services to parents in the Big Bear Valley, including child birth classes.
