Mom & Dad Project Hosts Car Seat & Disaster Preparedness Event

Big Bear, Ca, May 12, 2011, 1:00pm – The Mom and Dad Project is hosting a Car Seat and Disaster Preparedness Event this Saturday, May 14^th from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Both events will take place at the Big Bear Lake Convention Center.  Car seat inspections will take place in the parking lot where parents can check to see if their car seat is too big, expired, or wrongly fit.  New seats will be available at the event for a small donation of $20.  Michelle Caldwell, Fire Prevention Officer for Big Bear Lake Fire Department, will be conducting a presentation on being prepared for emergencies and the first 30 families in attendance at the presentation will receive a Red Cross emergency flashlight and hand crank radio, and a disaster starter kit.  For more information call 585-5607.
