Big Bear Lake, Ca, November 11, 2010, 5:00pm – City Council Member Michael Karp has resigned his position as council member, effective today, November 9th. Karps reason for resigning is due to his move off the mountain, and one of the requirements for council members is that they reside in Big Bear Lake. In his resignation letter, Karp stated “it has been a pleasure to execute my duties as a member of the city council.” City council will meet once more on November 20th, before the new elected members will take office on December 13th. “I wish the next council the best fortune in the execution of its duties,” stated Karp.
