Big Bear, Ca, February 2, 2011, 8:00am – A record number of students have been accepted to the All County Honors Orchestra. A total of 17 local Elementary String Students have been accepted into the San Bernardino County All Honors Orchestra for 2011. This is more students than any previous year. Acceptance is based on skill level and class performance for second and third year students, and allows kids to participate in an amazing concert at the beautiful University of Redlands Memorial Chapel with about 75 other county musicians from at least 12 other districts. Students who accept this honor will travel off the mountain this month for three long rehearsals, and should be honored for their dedication and commitment. The All County Honors Orchestra Concert is Saturday, February 26th at 7pm at the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and the public is invited.
