San Bernardino, CA, June 27, 2012, 8:00am – A car crash on State Route 330 took the life of an 18-year-old Lakewood woman on Friday morning, June 22, 2012. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn and eject Rebecca Green, who was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. She was a passenger in a Ford Focus driven by 24-year-old Kenneth Blow, Jr., also of Lakewood. It is unknown why the vehicle drifted off the road out of control according to the CHP. The driver and two other passengers in the vehicle were injured and taken to area hospitals. Although the cause of the collision is under investigation, in a news release the CHP says alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors. The California Highway Patrol would like to remind motorists to wear seatbelts, don’t drink and drive, and don’t text while behind the wheel.
