The Big Bear Valley Habitat for Humanity which, to date, is responsible for the construction of three homes now owned by families within Big Bear, will be holding a fundraiser this Sunday, with proceeds to benefit the building project for a fourth home, currently being built in Baldwin Lake. Sunday’s fundraiser, from noon to 8pm, will be held at B’s Backyard BarBQ, lakeside on Alden Road off Big Bear Boulevard in Big Bear Lake. The eight-hour event will feature food and entertainment at a cost of $20 per person. On Tuesday, July 14, Realty Executives sponsor the 5th annual Habitat for Humanity Golf Tournament at Bear Mountain Golf Course; sign-ups are being taken through July 10. (More info: BBVHFH.org) Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization that funnels donations of labor and materials to provide homes for low-income families; those selected also participate in the home-building process.
