Big Bear, Ca, February 17, 2011, 12:00pm – The Lady Bears Varsity Soccer Team dominated the De Anza League to tie for first place in the league, and are now moving on to CIF competition. This afternoon the soccer team will compete in their first CIF game against University Prep Victorville. The lady bears move into CIF off a shut out game against Buckley High School out of Sherman Oaks in a wild card game, where they scored 1 goal in the first half of the game, and 6 goals in the second half. The team consists of 2 freshman, 4 sophomores, 6 juniors, and 6 seniors, and is comprised of the following players: Carolan Mccollough, Stephanie Avalos, Laurel Bowling, Jordie Beuch, Natalie Powell, Jennifer Hirschler, Hunter Martinsen, Kristina Faraci, Maddie Begley, Jessica Marcum, Maddie Ludwig, Megan Lona, Monica Monroe, Peyton Roberts, Daphne Curry Sweet, Nija Custer, Kathryn Jasperson, and Amy Rojas.
