Big Bear Lake, CA — Weekly bingo at the Big Bear Senior Center continues on Thursday afternoons and, per a vote by the City Council of Big Bear Lake last week, the payouts are now as much as $500, rather than the $250 it used to be. There’s another change to the bingo program, as it will now be overseen by the Kiwanis Club of Big Bear Valley, which has been contracted to do so by the Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District. The Kiwanis Club will host bingo from noon to 4pm each Thursday, and says that game styles will be those typical of the past, while pull-tab cards and snacks will also be available for sale.
In other news from the Kiwanis Club, they will also be hosting a spaghetti dinner this week, billed as a “carb-up” for those participating in Saturday’s Tour de Big Bear cycling activities. The spaghetti feed will be held at Bear Mountain Friday evening, from 5 to 8pm. Cost for the meal is $10 per plate, with a full bar also available. All are welcome to the Friday evening event hosted by the Kiwanis Club.
