Big Bear, Ca, December 2, 2011, 12:00pm – With yesterday’s constant snowfall, 9.3 inches of snow accumulated outside of the studios of KBHR in Big Bear City, resulting in the winners being selected for the KBHR Snowfall Sweepstakes. Yesterday at 4:30pm, Big Bear’s own Jordan Romero stopped by the studios and confirmed that 9.3 inches of snow had fallen. Winners were selected by finding the three people who guessed closest to the date and time of December 1st at 4:30pm in the KBHR Snowfall Sweepstakes, which was held from October 17th, through November 7th. Over 30 businesses participated in the contest, which had thousands of entries. Scott Waner of Big Bear Lake was the big winner, winning a brand new snow blower from Big Bear City Saw Works. Waner’s winning guess of December 1st at 5:15pm was entered at Butcher’s Block and Building Materials. Waner was very excited and surprised when he found out that he won. Second place went to Roger Sorenson, a second homeowner in Big Bear, also from Chino Hills, who entered at Car Quest Auto Parts, and won a season pass to Big Bear Mountain Resorts. Third place went to Jamie Creason of Huntington Beach, who entered at McDonald’s of Big Bear, and won a full cord of seasoned firewood from the AJ Acosta Firewood & Tree Service Company. The firewood will come in handy at her family’s new cabin in the Big Bear Valley. The KBHR Snowfall Sweepstakes has taken place every fall since they began operation in 1996. Congratulations to those that guessed closest, and stay tuned next year for participating locations, and for your chance to win some great prizes.\
