Big Bear Lake, CA, July 23, 2013 – The Bear Valley Community Healthcare District (BVCHD) has begun recruitment for a new Chief Financial Officer, following the resignation of Rudy Shutta. In addition to working as the CFO, Shutta has acted as the interim CEO twice and for the past several months had been working on the budget to keep the Brenda Boss
Family Resource Center on track. Now. after seven years with the District, Shutta is moving to a lower elevation for medical reasons. CEO Raymond Hino stated, “This District owes Rudy a huge debt of gratitude that it can never repay for the years of service that he has given.”
While the District searches for a permanent replacement, Joe Demont will serve as the Interim CFO. Hino said that Demont’s work as CFO of the Tehachapi Hospital helped make it into a very pro?table critical access hospital.
A BVCHD spokesperson says they anticipate several quali?ed candidates to apply for the permanent CFO position.
