Big Bear Valley, CA — In addition to this evening’s CERT meeting (and the free screening of “Little Nemo” at the Discovery Center”), there are three government meetings taking place, the first of which is a Bear Valley Community Healthcare District Board of Directors meeting, taking place in the hospital cafeteria, with closed session starting at 5pm. Open session of the healthcare district business meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm, and will include committee appointments for the board, under the direction of President Dr. Chris Fagan, and discussion with regard to the creation of a Chief Operating Officer position.
At 5:30pm this evening, the Budget Advisory Committee for the Bear Valley Unified School District convenes at the school district offices on Moonridge Road; as with all BVUSD meetings, public comment will be welcome during this evening’s BAC meeting.
The City Council for Big Bear Lake also meets today, with open session for their regularly scheduled fourth Monday meeting getting underway at 6:30pm in Hofert Hall in the Big Bear Lake Civic Center. This evening’s Council meeting will include status of the street maintenance plan for spring 2010, and consideration of a municipal code amendment to raise local bingo payout maximums to $500, an issue that was brought before Council at their March 8 meeting.
