Sugarloaf, CA, July 23, 2012, 3:00pm – Big Bear Valley residents are invited to attend the Open House and Dedication ceremonies for the fifth Big Bear Valley Habitat for Humanity home on Sunday, July 29, at 2:30pm at 594 Cedar in Sugarloaf. The 1200-square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bath home was built entirely by volunteers and contractors, many of whom donated all or part of their work and materials. Donald & Jessica Bush and their four daughters purchased the home. Habitat for Humanity home dedication ceremonies provide the opportunity to thank and congratulate everyone involved for a job well done as well as for all attendees to see the newly completed home. The mission of Big Bear Valley Habitat for Humanity is to provide affordable housing for low-income families. Each completed home is sold at zero percent interest to a local family, which also works 500 hours on the house. Planning for house number six is already underway. Anyone interested in applying or volunteering should contact Big Bear Valley Habitat for Humanity at 273-3036.
