Big Bear, Ca, January 16, 2011, 12:00pm –
The second race in the Goldsmith’s Race Series took place this Sunday, with many local children and adults turning up to race down the giant slalom course. Top finishers for the Snow Summit Race Team and Masters Team included Mark Millson, Brady Nilsson, Lyndsay Harris, Florin Oprea, Karli Kendall, Johann Auer, Elle Williams, Mckinley Warren, John Boucher, Susan Kendall, Nicolai Stoilov, and Laura Johnson. Development team, All Mountain Team, and Novice race top finishers included Ryan Dosa, Trinity Dostrow, James Gill, Haley Hoskins, Nathaniel Bratter, Mckenzie Lawrence, Mia Ortega, Graham Miller, Sierra Kim, Nate Williams, and Simona Trentchev. A majority of the Snow Summit Race Team J3 boys and girls were not present at the Goldsmith’s race, as they were competing at a Far West Skiing Race at Sugarbowl Ski Resort in the Lake Tahoe area. Out of 80+ competitors, Big Bear’s own Sean Murphy was able to stay in the top 14 each day with a 4th place finish on day one, and 7th place finish on day two. Connor Hafen finished in 14th place on day two, and Evan Williams finished in 7th place on day three. The next Goldsmiths Race will be held on Sunday February 12th.
