Students who attend public schools are required to have up-to-date immunizations, and BVUSD’s District Nurse Marilyn Ponce de Leon encourages families to take advantage of a free immunization clinic, being offered next Monday afternoon. Children, from infants to age 18, are eligible for this immunization clinic, being hosted by the Lions Club at their community clubhouse located in Big Bear City Park off Greenway Drive. The San Bernardino County Department of Public Health will provide the immunizations, including those for Measles, Chickenpox, Tetanus and Hepatitis A and B. Parents are reminded to bring their child’s yellow immunization card to the free clinic on the 21st, which is offered from 2 to 4pm and, again, at the Lions Club building in Bear City Park.
