The final round of the Business Owners Club, which is a free learning opportunity available to all Big Bear Valley business owners, will be offered on Thursday morning, through a partnership between the Big Bear Chamber of Commerce, the City of Big Bear Lake, and the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center. Thursday’s free seminar will focus on financing and credit collections; business owners will be assisted in assessing financing needs for the next two years, as well as identifying both internal and external sources of funding. The Business Owners Club meets at the Big Bear Lake Civic Center at 9am and, though not required, reservations are requested by calling Kristen Gerke at the Inland Empire Small Business Center at 760/951-1592.
The Big Bear Chamber of Commerce will, in the meantime, offer another networking opportunity on Tuesday; the June 9 event is the ever-popular annual Chamber mixer at Alpine Slide, which will offer access to the slide and go-carts. The two-hour Chamber mixer on Tuesday at 5pm is offered at no cost to Chamber members, $5 for guests, and all are encouraged to dress warmly and comfortably to enjoy the activities. The Chamber also has tickets on sale for their Casino Night at the Best Western Big Bear Chateau on Tuesday, June 16; to purchase for casino buy-in and/or hors d’oeuvres, call the Chamber at 866-4607 or stop by tomorrow’s mixer at Alpine Slide.
