We’ve had a few earthquakes in our area in the last 24 hours, the most notable of which is a 3.2 magnitude tremor, which was centered fives miles west of Mt. San Gorgonio, nine miles south of Big Bear Lake at 6:17am this morning (October 21). This 3.2 magnitude tremor, per the U.S. Geological Survey, registered a depth of over six miles. Just before noon yesterday, October 20, there was a 2.4 magnitude quake centered five miles north of San G and seven miles southeast of Big Bear Lake, which went to a depth of over three miles; at 12:48pm Tuesday, a 1.5 magnitude earthquake was centered five miles north of Big Bear City. And, since that 3.2 tremor at 6:17am today, there was one of a 1.8 magnitude, which occurred four miles west of Lake Arrowhead at 8:23am. Despite these quakes, local officials and fire agencies have not received any reports of damage.
