
San Bernardino County, Ca, February 4, 2011, 1:00pm – San Bernardino County residents, who experienced property damage during the severe storms between December 17 and January 4, are eligible for low-interest federal disaster loans starting February 8, announced the Small Business Administration. Disaster Loan Outreach Centers will be opening in Highland and Hesperia beginning next Tuesday. “Getting our businesses and communities up and running after a disaster is our highest priority at the SBA” said Karen Mills, SBA Administrator.” Customer Service representatives will be available at the centers to issue loan applications, explain the application process, and answer questions about the program. Loan information and application forms are also available on the SBA website at www.sba.gov/services/disasterassistance or by calling 800-659-2955. Additional resources for victims can be found at the San Bernardino County Office of Emergency Services website at www.sbcfire.org/oes. “These low-interest loans are very important for the recovery of our residents,” said Josie Gonzales, Chair of the County’s Board of Supervisors. “The County will continue to assist residents access whatever resources exist to help properties damaged or destroyed by the December rain storms.”
