Big Bear, Ca, January 4, 2011, 8:00am – The Evergreen Baptist Church is having the grand opening of their new location THIS Sunday, January 9th at 10:30 AM! The church previously met at the Inn Der Bach Resort in the Baldwin Lake area, and for a short time was meeting at Big Bear Middle School while they awaited completion of their new location. Head pastor Aaron Richert grew up in the Big Bear Valley, spent 6 years serving our country as a Sergent in the Army, and served 1 year in Iraq. Richert felt a need to return home to Big Bear, and help the community. Pastor Richert and the Evergreen Baptist Church are looking forward to the new year, and beginning some new projects for the church including: an addiction recovery program, a Christian school, a weekly kids’ club, youth activities, a mid-week Bible study, as well as English classes for Spanish speakers. This Sunday’s service will be the first day of a 4-day winter revival conference with guest speakers: Pastor Doug Fisher from San Diego, and Pastor Jim Christensen from Fallbrook, CA. Sunday services are at 10:30 AM and 6:00 PM, and the conference nights will be at 6:30PM, Monday through Wednesday.
