Running Springs, CA, October 11, 2012, 6am – The Running Springs Fire Department and CHP will team up with other Emergency Services agencies to host “Emergency Services Day” for community residents and guests on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10am until 2pm. Emergency equipment displays and demonstrations will take place along Hilltop Boulevard from Running Springs Fire Department Station 51 West to the California Highway Patrol Station. Emergency Services Day will offer the public a unique opportunity to see emergency equipment and meet the men and women who protect us. Fire Engines, Extrication and Firefighting equipment, Safety and Fire Prevention displays will be on hand. Flu shots will be available to the public at Station 51 with donations going to Mountain Helping Hands. And finally, there will be special appearances for the kids by Sparky the firedog, and Chipper the CHP mascot.
