The Board of Commissioners of the Department of Water and Power will vote on commercial water rates tomorrow morning. A 2007 resolution had called for commercial water rates to be increased to $4.37 per ccf as of March 2009, though the rate hike was not implemented by DWP, given the economic recession. Rather, commercial water rates have been held at $3.22 per ccf, and will remain so pending the vote on the resolution amendment in the Tuesday meeting, to be held at 9am at the DWP offices at 41972 Garstin Drive in Big Bear Lake. The morning meeting will also include a new rate study presentation, as well as recognition of 20-year employees Robyn Bratton, Steve Wilson, Russ Vickery, Patty Delbridge and Larry Wormsbecker.
