If your dog needs a license, the San Bernardino County Animal Care and Control Program is making it easy, by offering both licenses and rabies vaccinations here in the Big Bear Valley on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7pm. Dog licenses will be available at the Sugarloaf Park, on Maple and Baldwin Lanes; dog licenses are $15 for altered dogs, $9 for altered dogs belonging to seniors, and $96 per license for all unaltered dogs. Licenses can be paid for by cash, check or credit card, though, if getting a rabies vaccination for your pet, these cost $6, cash only. The County Animal Care Program notes that vaccinations will only be given to dogs on leashes strong enough to hold them; for everyone’s safety, all dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be brought in a pet carrier. For more information on Wednesday’s dog licensing clinic at Sugarloaf Park, contact the County’s Animal Care Program at 800/472-5609. If unable to make the September 2 licensing clinic, another one will be offered in Big Bear Lake, at Meadow Park, on Thursday, September 24.
