Big Bear Lake, CA, May 11, 2011, noon – The Friends of the Moonridge Zoo is looking for volunteers who appreciate being around wildlife to become Docents at Big Bear’s animal park. Docent’s assist and provide information to park visitors, they provide help during special events, prepare food in the animal kitchen, work at the gift shop or snack bar, or help with flower gardening or light maintenance. The Friends of the Moonridge Zoo will start the 2nd Series of their Adult Education Program on May 12th. It will run four consecutive Thursdays 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The Friends of The Moonridge Zoo was created in 1989 to support the Moonridge Animal Park through educating the public regarding treatment, protection, and conservation of wildlife, recruiting and coordinating zoo volunteers, and fundraising.
