Big Bear, Ca, March 13, 2011, 12:00pm – The Friends Moonridge Zoo is looking for a few good men and women who appreciate being around wildlife to become Docents at Big Bear’s animal park. Docent activities include being a park roamer, who assists and provides information to park visitors, provide help during special events, prepare food in the animal kitchen, work at the gift shop or snack bar, or help with flower gardening or light maintenance. If you are interested in becoming a docent call (909) 878- 4200, and register for the Friends of the Moonridge Zoo Adult Education Program, that will run four consecutive Saturdays starting April 16th. The classes will take place between 11:00am – 1:00pm. The Friends of The Moonridge Zoo was formed in 1989 as a non profit public benefit corporation whose purpose is to support the Moonridge Animal Park through educating the public regarding treatment, protection, and conservation of wildlife, recruiting and coordinating zoo volunteers, and fundraising.
