Fawnskin, CA, February 9, 2013 – The Big Bear Discovery Center is looking for energetic and enthusiastic individuals who want to make a positive difference in the San Bernardino National Forest. Here’s an opportunity for local residents or second homeowners who want to give back to their community, utilize their skills, meet interesting people and learn more about their environment. No experience is necessary and training is provided. All you need is the desire to help while having fun and promoting forest stewardship. A variety of volunteer programs are available and volunteers are encouraged to help where they are most comfortable. Anyone interested in volunteering at the Big Bear Discovery Center can attend an Orientation Meeting and learn more about volunteer opportunities without making a commitment. Orientation is scheduled for Saturday, February 23, from 1pm until 3pm at the Big Bear Discovery Center.
