There are two public meetings scheduled for tomorrow morning, the first of which is the 9am meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Department of Water and Power. Tuesday morning’s meeting, to be held at the DWP offices on Garstin Drive in Big Bear Lake, is scheduled to include board committee assignments, as well as contract approval, to hire WSC, Inc. to assist in bidding packages and permits as it pertains to 2010 construction projects funded by the USDA.
The Board of Supervisors for San Bernardino County meet at 10am Tuesday on their, now, every-other week schedule for regular meetings in San Bernardino. County Supervisors will address a few items that pertain to the Big Bear Valley, specifically parks—and park commissioners. Supervisors will consider Third District Supervisor Neil Derry’s request to reduce the number of Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District Advisory Commissioners from seven to five, while also voting on two items specific to the Big Bear City Park being developed on land owned by the Big Bear City Community Services District; those action items are with regard to the 40-year lease agreement with CSD, and approval for grant application on the Prop 84-funded grant that could provide for $2.5 million in park development funds.
