CSUSB Will Accept Freshmen Applications Through March 1
First-time freshmen hoping to apply to Cal State San Bernardino for the 2009-2010 academic year have until March 1 to complete their applications for fall admission.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has proposed mid-year cuts to the state budget, meaning California State University campuses will not receive additional enrollment funding from the state for the coming academic year.
The president of Cal State San Bernardino, Albert Karnig, says, “This series of budget cuts means that fewer qualified students will be able to attend CSUSB and other California State University campuses. If they haven’t already done so, current high school seniors should file their applications online right away.”
School officials warn the application deadline could be earlier for some academic programs, and the March 1 deadline does not apply to transfer students, those seeking teaching credentials or graduate program candidates.
Students interested in applying to Cal State San Bernardino can find more information and complete their applications by logging onto www.csumentor.edu.
Students are strongly encouraged to take entrance exams and placement tests as soon as possible to improve their chances of being admitted to the university and to know what classes they will take when admitted.
The university’s office of admissions and student recruitment is available at (909) 537-5188.
