Big Bear, Ca, February 21, 2011, 12:00pm – This Saturday, head over to Bear Mountain Resort for local pro freestyle skier, Craig Coker’s War of Rails. Pro skiers from across the Unites States, and local skiers, will compete for great prizes and to be named victor of the War of Rails. This event will also serve as a fundraiser for local 9-year-old Nigel Holland. Nigel was diagnosed with a brain tumor at the age of seven. After surgery, aggressive chemo, and radiation Nigel is considered to be in remission, and has returned to school this year. Nigel is still unable to walk without assistance, his motor skills are slightly compromised, and his hearing and vision have declined. This fundraiser will help get Nigel into more physical therapy sessions that will help him return to the active lifestyle he knew before he was diagnosed. Registration for War of Rails will begin at 8am on Saturday the 26th, with practice to follow at 10:00am, qualifying at 11:30am, Semi finals at 1:00pm, and finals at 2:00pm.
