Fawnskin, CA, August 24, 2010, 12:00pm – Late Sunday evening, August 22, 2010, County of San Bernardino Firefighters responded to a small structure fire in Fawnskin. When they arrived, the freestanding garage-like storage shed was fully engulfed according to Mark Peebles Battalion Chief with County Fire. A part-time resident of Fawnskin, who hasn’t been at the dwelling in years, owns the 15 x 15 foot outbuilding. The fire was limited to the small structure and the cause of the fire is under investigation. County of San Bernardino Fire service areas covers Artic Circle through the North Shore to the Big Bear City border. The Forest Service is responsible for vegetation fires along that same route as well as when fires occur in the San Bernardino National Forest.
