The Big Bear Lake Planning Commission is recommending that the City Council approve a proposed affordable housing project in their meeting today.
The 42-unit apartment complex on Knickerbocker Road will include additional visitor parking at the request of the Commission last week. The developer had already agreed to other modifications, such as a solid tree management plan and the construction of a sidewalk from Big Bear Elementary School on Pennsylvania Avenue to the project site, about 100 feet south of Maryland Road.
Today’s City Council meeting starts at 6:30pm at the Big Bear Lake Civic Center. The Public Hearing Item with regard to the City’s Greeen Building Code is, per the agenda, proposed for the August 10 meeting instead.
