Big Bear Valley, CA, April 1, 2011, noon – Big Bear Lake residents and Big Bear City Community Services District Customers can dispose of electronic & universal waste free of charge on April 9th. In partnership with Big Bear Disposal, the City of Big Bear Lake will participate in the County of San Bernardino “Free Dump Day” on Saturday, April 9th from 8am to 3pm at Clean Bear Site # 1 on Garstin Drive for Big Bear Lake residents only. For CSD customers, the Big Bear City Maintenance Yard at Paradise Road and Grenfall Lane will be open from 8am to 3pm. The following items will be accepted: regular household trash, yard waste and tree trimmings, appliances, furniture, tires (off the rim), electronic waste (E-waste), televisions, cell/mobile phones, telephones, fluorescent tubes, radios/stereos, microwave ovens, clothes irons, VCRs, space heaters, computers, printers, household batteries, aerosol cans, and thermostats.
