Late last week, the Big Bear Middle School Health Office sent home a notice to parent’s of children enrolled at the school that your child may have been exposed to Chicken Pox. The school advices parents that the viral disease is spread through the air or by direct contact with an infected person. If you have a Middle School student, look for signs of the illness such as mild fever, a general feeling of un-wellness and small red spots. If your child develops these symptoms, contact your doctor to confirm if your child has Chicken Pox.
