Big Bear, Ca, October 11, 2011, 12:00pm – The Big Bear Chamber of Commerce is hosting a “Chili and Margarita Mixer” tonight at the Masonic Lodge. Seven member businesses have signed up so far, and will compete for the title of Best Chili Cook, and for a free entry into the International Chili Society Chili Cook Off that takes place next summer. If the winner doesn’t want to participate in the ICS Chili Cook off, they can take away $80 instead. Participants include: Dave Scannell, of Dave Can Do It Handyman Services, Michael Beveridge of Licensed Home Improvement, Carll Pontius of Big Bear Tutoring & Consulting, Celia Murray of Tan Yer Hide, Kim Martin from Desert Rose Studio, Nancy Holguin, a consultant with Arbonne International, and Gary Stobert from Mountain Patrol. There are still a few spots left if you want to participate. Chamber members are free to enter, and non-members are $20 to enter. There will also be a professional bartender at the mixer to make margaritas. The mixer takes place from 5:00 to 7:00pm tonight at the Masonic Lodge located on Summit Blvd, behind the Sheriff’s Station. For more information call 866-4607.
