Big Bear Lake, CA November 24, 2012 11:30 am – Celebration of the Life of Debby Dokter will be Thanksgiving Sunday, November 25. After a long illness, Debby passed away on November 4 at the family home with her husband Garry and family at her side.The afternoon occasion will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.at the Dokter home, located at 42364 Heavenly Valley Road in Big Bear Lake. Garry Dokter invites close friends to be prepared to share their favorite ‘Debby stories’. Debby had rules for the house, and a couple seem pertinent to her Celebration. One, adopted from daughter Casey, was “there is no sorry in this house”. Debby established this rule when we told her that she had to stop apologizing for being sick. This one we can adhere to; yet another, and harder to respect, was “there are no tears in this house”. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Debby’s name to:
