Catch A Tagged Trout Worth $50,000 In The Fishin’ For $50K Trout Derby

Big Bear Lake, CA, June 3, 2011, noon – Big Bear Lake’s “Fishin’ for $50K” Trout Derby is coming up on June 11th and 12th. A total of ten trout will be tagged and released into Big Bear Lake, including one particular fish worth a lot of money. The angler who catches the trout tagged for the grand prize will win $50,000. The Derby is Saturday June 11^th and Sunday June 12^th from 6am until 2pm each day. Prizes will be awarded for the largest trout (by weight) caught in four different classes, which include adult male and female, and child male and female. Only one fish per day per person can be weighed, and must be 16 inches or longer to qualify. Weigh-in will take place at the Big Bear Lake official weigh station at Big Bear Marina.
