Big Bear, Ca, August, 5, 2011, 4:25pm – 17 year old Big Bear local Casey Williams has been selected to be a part of the USA Cycling Junior Men Cross Country team for the mountain bike world championships for 2011. Casey is one of four young men to be selected for the junior team, and joins 50 others representing the United States in mountain bike events from downhill racing, cross country racing, and four cross. Casey has been riding bikes since he was a young child, and has won the US national championships in 2008, and was selected to go to a prestigious international mountain bike camp earlier this summer. Casey is the oldest of six children to parents Kim and Roger, all of whom ride bikes. Casey will travel to Champery, Switzerland from August 29th to September 4th to compete in the Mountain Bike World Championships.
