CalTrans Road Maintenance: Highway 38 & 18

Big Bear, Ca, February 8, 2011, 3:00pm – Caltrans Maintenance crews will be sweeping cinders off the yellow centerline on SR-18 from Lake Gregory Drive in Crestline to the Boulder Bay area in Big Bear Wednesday, February 9th from 8 am to 2 pm.  On Thursday, February 10th, the crew will repaint the centerline on the same section of the highway. This is a moving operation and it is not expected to cause any lengthy delays, however, motorists should be alert and slow down when encountering the work.  Also, the USFS will be removing a hazardous tree near the Discovery Center Wednesday, February 9^th at about 11am. SR-38 near Cougar Crest will be closed for about 30 minutes or less. A detour will be available.
