Burglary At Pine Knot Marina

Big Bear Lake, CA, September 9, 2011, noon – At about 7:00am Thursday, deputies responded to a call of a commercial burglary that had occurred some time Wednesday evening at Pine Knot Marina. The office at Pine Knot Marina was broken into and vandalized. Two computer systems were stolen from the office and the outside phone lines were cut. Deputies reviewed video surveillance footage from the Marina which showed the identity of the suspect to be Alexander Miskam, a 21 year old resident of Big Bear Lake and a former employee of the Marina. Deputies obtained a search warrant for Miskam’s residence which was served shortly before noon yesterday.  All of the property that had been stolen from Pine Knot Marina was recovered from Miskam’s residence and he was taken into custody and booked at the Big Bear Jail on felony charges of commercial burglary.  Miskam is being held at West Valley Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bail.  An arraignment hearing in this matter has been scheduled for September 12^th at San Bernardino County Superior Court.
