The fifth annual Big Bear Walk MS, in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, launches from North Shore Elementary School (on Stanfield Cutoff) tomorrow morning and, if you (or your dog) want to participate, you can still register, as check-in will begin at 9am on the 18th. The walk along the Alpine Pedal Path on Big Bear Lake’s North Shore gets underway at 11am, and will be followed by family-friendly festivities, including game booths, music from DJ Happy, and an opportunity drawing, including items such as ski and golf passes, and gift certificates for massages, meals, and automotive service. The Big Bear community has generated over $300,000 in the battle against MS in the first four walks and the goal for this, the fifth walk—billed as “Stayin’ Alive with Walk MS Five”—is to raise $75,000 for MS research and treatment.
