The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station resolved a Critical Missing Person case over the weekend. Sixty-three-year-old Willow Gold had last been seen on Saturday, June 6 at approximately 2pm on Panamint Mountain Road in the Whispering Forest area of Big Bear City. There was concern because she takes medication for depression, and although she normally uses a service dog to assist her with her hearing loss, the dog was left at home. Sheriff’s Department Aviation, Big Bear Station patrol units and Search and Rescue Teams were deployed after Gold was reported missing yesterday (Sunday, June 7). Gold was found at approximately 3:15pm in a rocky area 300 feet east of Van Dusen Canyon Road. Gold was dehydrated and mildly disoriented when located; she was transported to the local hospital for observation.
