The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station is requesting the help of the public in locating the driver of a vehicle that was reported as a possible attempted abduction of an 11-year-old girl yesterday, Thursday, May 6th, in the area of East Mountain View Blvd. and North Mt. Doble Drive in Big Bear City. Yesterday morning at approximately 10:45 a.m., the female juvenile had been riding her bicycle when a man in a vehicle who offered her candy, telling her that it was in the front seat of the car, approached her. The child refused the candy and rode away on her bike. Deputies conducted a check of the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. It is described as a dark green four-door sedan with scratches on both sides and peeling paint on the roof, a broken mirror on the driver’s side, and a yellow sticker on the bumper. The subject driving the car is described as a white male adult with short dark hair.
