Big Bear, CA, January 28, 2016 – Deputies of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station’s Multi-Enforcement Team made the bust Tuesday while conducting a probation check at a residence in the 700 block of E. Meadow Lane in Big Bear City. Arrested was 49-year-old Daniel O’Connell. During a search of the residence, O’Connell was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and paraphernalia consistent with drug sales.
O’Connell was taken into custody without incident and booked on felony charges of possession of narcotics for sale and a misdemeanor charge of possession of unlawful paraphernalia. Suspect Daniel O’Connell remains in custody in lieu of $60,000 bail, with an arraignment hearing scheduled for today in San Bernardino County Superior Court.
The Multi-Enforcement Team of the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station works proactively with Big Bear patrol deputies, County Probation officers, and State Parole officers to routinely conduct home visits and searches on local parolees and probationers pursuant to the terms and conditions of their release.
