Big Bear Lake City Council to Consider Termination of Agreement for Jeffries Road Apartment Complex

Big Bear Lake, CA — The City Council for Big Bear Lake convenes for their second regular meeting of this month this evening (June 28), with open session scheduled to begin at 6:30pm in Hofert Hall at the Big Bear Lake Civic Center. This evening’s action items by the Council will include consideration of terminating the current agreement with National Core of Rancho Cucamonga, for development of an affordable apartment complex on Jeffries Road, in order to authorize the preparation of a new agreement to provide further evaluation of the Jeffries site and/or other sites within the City of Big Bear Lake. The Public Hearing on the Jeffries Road project, which began at Council’s meeting on June 14, was scheduled to continue to today’s meeting, though Council will consider taking this item off the agenda once they convene. Council’s meeting will also include adoption of fiscal year 2010/2011 budgets for the City of Big Bear Lake and the Big Bear Lake Fire Protection District.
