Big Bear, Ca, November 09, 2010, 4:00pm – On November 8th, the Big Bear Lake Antique Car Club gave $15,200 to 16 different community organizations and non-profits. The money was raised through car club events including the Fun Run that took place on August 14th. The following organizations received donations: Bear Mountain Dog Rescue, Bear Valley Search and Rescue, Citizens Patrol, Discovery Center of Big Bear, Fuzzy House Slipper Gang, Miss Big Bear Valley Scholarship, Steven G. Mihaylo Foundation, Tech Trek Scholarships, Civil Air Patrol, Dobis Vocational Scholarship, Bear Valley Community Hospital Auxilery, Bear Valley Community Nursery School, Friends of the Big Bear Library, Bear Valley Medical Alert, Baldwin Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Each organization was given $950.00 to use towards their cause. Last year the Big Bear Lake Antique Car Club awarded $600.00 to 19 organizations. The recipients were very thankful.
