Big Bear, CA, November 14, 2012 – Four Big Bear High School students have been selected by the American High School Honors Performance Series to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City on February 10, 2013. The selected finalists are Jodi Cline, Zackery Meyer, Tori Waner, and Delaney Warren. These students are from the Voice Studio of Diane Sloan Kubeja. The nominated candidates were asked to submit a performance resume and a five-minute CD recording, featuring their best classical repertoire. The four Big Bear local students are among the nation’s top 200 high school performers chosen to sing at Carnegie Hall. The student’s selected attend a five-day program in New York City culminating in the concert. Through the Honors Performance Series, they will be heard by collegiate music programs, see a Broadway show, attend a nationally televised morning show, and experience New York City! There will be two performances of “The Carnegie Hall Extravaganza” at the Performing Arts Center in Big Bear Lake on December 15th & 16th at 3:00 pm. These benefit concerts will feature vocal performances by Jodi, Zack, Tori, and Delaney. Ticket prices are $20 for adults and $10 for students. All proceeds will go toward their tuition for the Honors Performance Series and travel expenses to New York.
