Big Bear Cyclists Competing in the Susitna 100

Big Bear, Ca February 20, 2011 1:00 pm – Big Bear residents, John and Dave Emig are in Alaska having the adventure of a lifetime. This weekend they are participating in the Susitna 100, a 2-day bike, ski, or foot race outside Anchorage. The father and son team are competing with 58 other bicyclists to complete the 100 mile race. The Susitna 100 is a qualify race for the high endurance Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc race, held in France later this year. At the end of the race today, Dave had completed the course in 25 hours and 27 minutes. John pulled out of the race but is fine. For more information about the race, go to http://www.susitna100.com/
