Big Bear, CA, April 20, 2016 – The Big Bear Cycling Association is kicking off the 2016 cycling season by hosting their sixth annual Open House & Expo. This free event is organized to introduce the community to BBCA and provide cycling information and education about riding the roads and trails of the Big Bear Valley. Riders, and non-riders of all abilities are welcome to attend.
The Expo will be held on Wednesday, April 27, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at Nottingham’s Tavern in the Village, with Happy Hour food and drink prices. Community cycling-centric organizations also in attendance include Big Bear Cycling Events and Programs, Chains Required, Bear Valley Bikes (Specialized), the Big Bear Cycling Festival, Big Bear Valley Trails Foundation, City of Big Bear Lake, Open Air Big Bear, and the Big Bear Triathlon.
Additionally, attendees will be able to sign up or renew their membership with BBCA. They encourage all levels of cyclist, road and mountain, and all members of the community, residents and visitors, to join. The Cycling Association is committed promoting fun and safe cycling in the Big Bear Valley as well as supporting recreational and competitive cycling in the region as a lifelong family activity, a healthy form of exercise, and a method of transportation.
Information will be available regarding BBCA’s 2016 schedule of events and activities, including education programs, rider development and the 2016 calendar of group and community rides which officially begin on April 30.
