Big Bear, Ca March 22, 2011 8:00 am – The Big Bear Valley Contractors Association is working hard to build good relationships with the community. All members are expected to be licensed and in good standing with the Contractors State Licensing Board, part of the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Members are also encouraged to be part of the Community Contractor Program in conjunction with the Lighthouse Project. Community Contractors pledge to maintain clean and safe work sites, be considerate parking their work vehicles, refrain from using alcohol and foul language at work sites, and be aware that children are likely watching. Board member, Bob Ludecke says, “The Big Bear Valley Contractors Association is all about educating the contractors, promoting the construction industry, and building good relationships with the community.” The Association helps homeowners find reliable contractors, helps youth interested in the building industry with scholarships and information, and keeps their members informed about changes in the industry. For a current list of architects, engineers, contractors, and associated businesses in the Big Bear Valley Contractors Association, go to the association website at bbvca.com or call (909) 585-5445.
